The Day Retreats for 2019 will be based around themes to involve more activities and pursuits. Such as art work, exploring the countryside and pottery creative courses. The Day Retreats are aimed at everyone all levels, skills and abilities. Just come, have fun and a break from the normal routine of everyday living.
Sheamah Holistic Therapies operates from two Yurts, each one is set in its own space. The large Yurt has two meditation areas outside and a fire pit for outdoor cooking or just gathering round an open fire during the warm summer evenings.
The ethos behind the Retreats is designed to give people an opportunity:
- To leave your hectic lifestyle behind, truly relax and indulge in yourselves.
- To meet new people and discover more about yourself.
- To try a variety of activities that cater for the well being of the individual and or group.
- No experience necessary just an open mind and a desire to have fun.
- To have fun and enjoy the activities on offer at a level that suits you.
The activities are taught by fully qualified teachers and instructors. The day and weekend Retreats are based on small groups and our aim is to provide a personal experience that you feel refreshed, relaxed and recharged. People may even decide to take up some of the activities on a more permanent basis.
The key is to enjoy, have fun, relax in the Yurts and the grounds of the Sheamah Holistic Therapies and Meadowside Bed and Breakfast.
Some of the activities include;
Holistic Treatments - Reiki; Crystal Healing; Reflexology; Massage
Free the Spirit of the Drum
Food and taster demonstrations
Art and Craft projects
At the end of the day retreat, we would like to provide people with an opportunity share experiences.
Eventually, we would like to organise weekend Retreats that incorporate a variety of activities and perhaps develop themed Retreats so people can really feel a benefit from taking time out to indulge in relaxation and totally immerse themselves in activities that people may wish to pursue at a greater depth.
The cost of the Retreats is all-inclusive and for more information contact Sheamah Holistic Therapies or Meadowside Bed and Breakfast by email or phone for a booking form.
The activities will vary with each Retreat. A full program of the events, cost and activities will be posted for each retreat.

A big thank you to Mark for offering his time to teach Tai Chi and weather permitting I hope this will be an activity that can be enjoyed on the grounds of the Yurt in the warm sunshine.
Mark is an instructor in Tai Chi and registered with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain (TCUGB), has been teaching these internal health arts for over ten years locally and is passionate about passing on his knowledge to students from beginners to advanced.
Tai Chi is becoming increasingly popular due to more studies acclaiming the numerous health benefits of doing Mind-Body exercise. It involves flowing movements which gently stretch and open the joints and muscles.
Everyone could benefit from practising Tai Chi. you do not have to have a certain level of fitness to start and participants say it helps their mood, making them feel more focused, reducing stress and making them feel good. It also helps alleviate muscular/skeletal conditions such as stiff or painful backs, necks and shoulders. Tai Chi benefits your whole body coordination and balance.
